I attended WordCamp NZ 2009 in Wellington recently. The conference speakers (that includes me) were invited to a hangi afterwards.

That photo is actually a montage of three different photos. My old camera wasn’t up to the task of taking photos at night so I had to take two with the flash pointing in separate directions and another with no flash to show the coals. Hopefully it doesn’t look too photoshopped

... but throw in a jetboat and things become less idyllic and more action packed!
