Birdies in the snow
Apparently snow is edible! These pigeons were pulling out all sorts of edible delights from within the snow pack. And here I was thinking it was nothing but water!

Duck?
My series of photos of strange looking but probably quite common birds continues. Is this a duck or what? I shot this photo in a little town just north of Hobart in Tasmania.
