Walking in Oslo

I went for a walk from my apartment today. I went on a 15 km tour to the edge of the city and back. I was hoping to find somewhere to skate on a lake called Maridalsvannet, but the whole place is fenced off due to it being the primary water supply for the city.

Tiz not often you see a Moose warning sign whilst going for an afternoon jaunt

Conroys dam

During a skating expedition in July 2011, we stopped in at Conroy’s dam near Alexandra. There was no ice to be seen, but the lake was a beautiful crystal clear mirror.

Sognsvann

I headed to Sognsvann just north of Oslo to go ice skating. It turned out there was way too much snow on the lake for skating, but I had a nice walk around the lake anyway.
