The 17th of May is the biggest public holiday of the year in Norway. All the Norwegian go crazy! The girls wear striking little outfits called “bunad”.

Harriet and I saw the strange looking spire of “Vor Frelsers Kirke” in København so decided to take a closer look. It turned out you can walk to the top.

Harriet and I headed to Nyhaven, a small port area of København in Denmark with lots of awesome little restaurants and cafes.
I went for a beer with the lovely Fonda. I ended up drinking beer with 40% alcohol content. I’m going to file this in the “it seemed like a good idea at the time” basket! It tasted something like a cross between tequila and vodka. At no point did I sense a taste of beer

I had my first cross country skiing trip recently. Ingvild, Live, Irene and myself headed to a small hytta (cabin) near Oslo. The weather was great and despite my being a bit slow and having to run down the occasional hill due to my meagre skiing skills, I made it to the end! Big thanks […]
