Cool new multisite plugin by @andrea_r and @wpmuguru. Curator … http://wpebooks.com/curator/

Thanks @riktking @daneoshiga @humphreybc @howbazaar. I'm not hard core, so will probably stick with XChat for the mean time.

@dubnukem XChat seems to be fairly decent. Connected and functioning fine

Nice theme! RT @bradleypotter Burned out on Buster theme for today. It's very close to being finished though. http://bit.ly/iT9oWy

@BradLeclerc I use Seesmic web which lets me choose where each of my messages go to, either Facebook and/or Twitter.

The Distiller office is getting a lively audio commentary courtesy of @five15design of the Canucks game.

Yay, another NZ based WordPress developer on Twitter … @webdesigngirl

I know an experienced Python/PHP programmer looking for work. If you are interested please get in touch … http://geek.ryanhellyer.net/contact/

@humphreybc I think it'll happen when I change what devices are plugged in and then reboot. Straight resets seem fine when nothing changed.

Yay, Ubuntu working flawlessly for me … how long till it breaks again?

@BoltClock I've got the same problem right now too. I need to put a post on my site telling people I'm all booked up.

@humphreybc You motivated me to do some pruning of my Twitter follows. I now have a much better Twitter feed to read

@humphreybc I've been having screen issues too. Thankfully, rebooting appeared to sort it out.

@humphreybc Not my fault if settings don't stick Sometimes trackpad works, sometimes not. I haven't even touched a setting for that.

@humphreybc I'd be happier if I could explain why it breaks and repairs itself. It's all a mystery though. Seems kinda random.

@humphreybc At least I know problems are solvable now. In general I'm pretty happy. Have had more problems with WIndows drivers in the past.

@humphreybc I'm not sure I would refer to stuff failing to work regularly as "luck"

@danmilward In semi-related news … my computer woes have thrown me behind schedule again. Sorry. New update looking good though

Apparently Ubuntu magically fixes itself if you just screw around with it for a while and keep rebooting. Go figure.

Windows: Stuff is broken and near impossible to fix. Ubuntu: Stuff works, then breaks, then works. Not sure which is better.

@humphreybc Was installing Chromium OS awkward? I not, I'll chuck it on my old Asus eee box.

@NinjaLikesCheez Sorry. Might let you join @kaedron and I next time if yer lucky.

@howbazaar Second screen now only shows the bar at the top. Trackpad also stopped working.

Update on my Ubuntu move .. everything worked initially, then stuff started to break. Still less broken than on Windows, but still broken

@Viper007Bond Doesn't surprise me. I swear one half of Facebook doesn't know what the other half is doing.

@lilitford Sorry, but I'd need a lot more information than that to help.

@humphreybc I'm tempted to try that on my Asus eee which I don't use anymore.

Playing with WordPress 3.2 admin panel. Not entirely convinced it's my cup of tea. Hopefully it will grow on me.

@humphreybc I don't think they have any intention of making Chrome OS available for download. There are various Chromium OS builds tho.

@humphreybc Much less struggling than I anticipated actually. I swear linux geeks make this seem harder than it really is.

Was trying to figure out why my WP theme wasn't working … four hours later … corrupted JS file found! Yay

@lightweight Thanks. That says it's enabled already, so I'm guessing it's just not working

Now running on Ubuntu. All systems are go …. apart from mod-rewrite

Epic computer failure today. I knew something was wrong with my computer. Seems Windows finally decided to poop itself this morning

@five15design Lolz, just got around to watching Hot Tub Time Machine. Funny.

Windows should look at Ubuntu. 3G stick on Windows … buggy as hell, requires special software. Ubuntu … shove it in, instant internet

@Mad_Hatter__ I'm all for there being a tourist trip down Marlborough sounds, but personally I'd much rather get to Welington quicker.

@Mad_Hatter__ If Ferry was cheaper, then car pooling would be more affordable. Plus, driving is more pleasant.

@NobleF1 It's not that the passing is too easy, it's that it's artificial that is the problem.

@Mad_Hatter__ Some of us just want to get from point A to point B as quickly and cheaply as possible.

@CJLaing I just got back from dinner. Now you've made me hungry again. Damnit!

@pgibbs I'm surprised they haven't managed to abstract more of jQuery's core functionality into plugins.

@five15design I don't care where it comes from. Double Down nom nom nom. @actoncampus

@danmilward YUSSS! We have moving sidebars now Progress is slick and smooth! Long may it continue

@danmilward BOOM! That was the sound of me squashing a giant bug with a sledge hammer Progress should be much faster now thankfully.

@humphreybc I could of course reboot into Windows if I needed to use hefty PSD's though.

@humphreybc Ah, but I do minor editing of PSD's with hundreds of layers! I don't make them, but I need to work with them.

@markbrown4 I have no use for high powered PC and don't need/want an optical drive, so Air is more sensible for me.

@rvijapurapu Thanks for the input. I only use my computer for developing, viewing videos and surfing the web.

@humphreybc Light image editing. Mostly just rearranging other peoples PSD's and converting to PNG or something I can use in GIMP.

Macbook Air is currently in the lead. I might install Ubuntu on my main machine and see if I can live on it full-time.

One thing is for certain. Mac fanboys are definitely more entertaining than Ubuntu fanboys. Windows fanboys are just plain weird of course.

@NinjaLikesCheez Like I said in previous tweet. Quality, not quantity

@five15design Macs are indeed stunning pieces of kit. But so is Ubuntu if setup right. Problem is lack of software, not quality of it IMO.

@NinjaLikesCheez Yes, but who the heck wants to be a crazy bug eyed fan boy!? … oh ….

@five15design I'd only use Parallels for IE, which I can use WINE for anyway.

@five15design @SunleyNZ Lolz. Macbook Air is most likely at this stage. Just weighing up options.

@five15design Only need Parallels for loading IE. Can do that on Ubuntu via WINE anyway.

@danmilward I'd better pull my finger out and get a functional version for you then.

@conorpegypt Were you suggesting a Macbook for running Ubuntu? Or instead of using Ubuntu?

Other than native Adobe Photoshop, what advantages would there be to using MacOSX over Ubuntu?

@danmilward First born child is growing slower than I'd like right now. Need to knuckle down over night and hammer out some improvements.

I'm contemplating moving to Ubuntu full-time with Photoshop as virtual machine. Either that or Macbook Air. Decisions decisions ….

Any opinions out there on notebooks which have good hardware support with Ubuntu?

Handy code snippet from @tuupola for styling file inputs … http://www.appelsiini.net/projects/filestyle

@clarecurranmp Well I figured I was only complementing everyone who was reading it

RT @mark_forrester: FaultPress has been released. Track bugs with this HTML5/CSS3 responsive design WordPress application theme! http:// …

@five15design Every munter and his friends use Facebook. Only smart geeks use Twitter.

Listening to Security Now … http://bit.ly/kSj2HE Excellent podcast for anyone interested in online security.

Lots of news sites down at the moment. Seems Osama can still put the world in a frazzle.
