Annddd, MORE DNS problems My sites are all up, but every sub-domain on the main network domain is broken
@danmilward Everything should be back to normal now. Whew! Should run a little quicker too as we've been upgraded to a bigger box
Ohhh, not only moved to a newer server, but a faster one too thanks to @uberhost support
30 mins from reporting server error to being upgraded to a bigger faster server thanks to @uberhost support!
Thanks to Rick from @uberhost, 90% of my sites are now back online and upgraded to a brand new server Thanks Rick!
@danmilward Our site is gonna be down for a bit. Catastrophic server failure. Moving servers as I type this. I am grumpy bumpy!!!!
Why did my serve need to die at 3am in the morning? I was about to go to sleep
Awww man, server down. Need to move servers. Hassle. 1x grumpy Ryan
Dangit! It seems all my websites are malfunctioning due to some sort of catastrophic server failure

@hafizrahman Thanks
@andreasnrb Thanks. I'll use the built in function now, but will keep that in mind in case I need to use a raw SQL query in future.
@itsananderson Awesome That's even better!
@andreasnrb Thanks. I'll use that then
@andreasnrb Thanks. Do you have any idea how much load that would put on the server?
@andreasnrb Actually, an SQL query might be a bit rough too if the site had thousands upon thousands of posts perhaps.
I could use get_posts() and just yank out every single post, but that would be horridly inefficient. I need something a lot faster.
@andreasnrb Any idea what that query would look like? I suck at MySQL.
Do any smarty pants out there know what the most efficient way to calculate how many blog posts are present in a WordPress powered site is?

Replacement for WordPress plugin interface for multi-site. Opinions? … http://bit.ly/rgQbOZ
@andrea_r I'll put on my list of things to do. I'd need to think some more about how to do it. Current version is just a site specific hack.
@andrea_r I didn't actually think anyone would want it.
@andrea_r Do you think I should turn it into a usable plugin? It wouldn't work on anything but my site right now.

@SiobhanPMcKeown WordPress has always annoyed me with the way it modifies content constantly like that. I wish it would just leave it alone!
@SiobhanPMcKeown My guess is that it's the specific HTML you are using. Perhaps pastebin it so we can try it out ourselves.
@Phillip_Copley If you aren't free at the moment, lemme know so I can send them elsewhere
@Phillip_Copley I've been bombed with WordPress theme work requests today, so referred some of them in your direction.
@SiobhanPMcKeown What sort of code do you have within the <code> tags?
@danmilward Sure. Wellington sounds good. I'll see what flights I can get.

@danmilward Half of bug fixed. Inadvertently found a performance improvement in the process. Brain starting to hurt.
@danmilward Yeah, definitely need a demo button. I'll chat with you about that some time as I have an awesome but convoluted idea.
@danmilward doing my best to get it done before morning
@danmilward Thanks Dan

@milo317 I'll send an email through in about an hour with an explanation of how it works etc. If it's up to scratch, I'll blog it too.
@milo317 It doesn't work with Dropbox, you need to host them on the server itself. Support for that could easily be added though.
