@JJJ @nathanrice I'm very keen to read that blog post. I'm slowly moving my code to OOP.

@technosailor Hopefully it or something similar is rolled into core. It would be used by a lot of themes.

@nathanrice I'd be hunting for ages trying to find that darned conversation. I saw it yesterday before going home.

@technosailor Thanks for the link to TimThumb replacement. Looks awesome. … http://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/15311

Does anyone recall seeing a conversation online about the use of OOP in WP plugins/themes within the last day or so?

@Ipstenu I used to have forum moderators on http://SitePoint.com do that when people needed a service/product I offered.

@Ipstenu If there's a situation in which you think they really need it, you should ask one of us to go pimp it for you.

@Ipstenu I got a rather abrupt NO when I asked about this quite a while back … http://wordpress.org/support/topic/offering-paid-services?replies=8

@Ipstenu It's against http://wordpress.org forum rules anyway apparently.

@markoheijnen I used to do a check for WP version number, but got tired of having to update it all the time so don't bother anymore.

RT @markoheijnen: Sweet stuff. My first #WordPress plugin is approved. Within one hour I can submit it to http://plugins.svn.wordpress.org/tabify-edit-screen/

@markoheijnen re: WordPress versions … don't bother supporting older WP versions.
