Is anyone in Dunedin able to help me convert a VHS tape to a digital format of some sort? #fb

@wptavern Almost seems like we're going to need to miss a version again like happened with 2.4.

@BlakeAnthony Because it NEVER works. It is plotting to destroy all of my applications!

@five15design If we could go back in time I'm sure tobacco would also be banned. There are too many gross smokers who would whine now.

@five15design I guess drug lords are too dense to figure out how to convert it properly.

@five15design I don't get why codeine is available off the shelf. That's mega simple to convert to all sorts of narcotics.

@bgardner Do you find vBulletin is more difficult to theme than phpBB3. Both look like nightmares, but I assumed vBulletin was worse.

@yoast Lol, I even read that post and listened to the podcast but I still didn't think of that plugin! Thanks for reminding me :)

Grunion plugin looks a little too basic unfortunately, so as @Viper007Bond says, Contact Form 7 FTW

Looks like Contact Form 7 has the lead right now. @yoast 's plugin is much more user friendly, but the HTML kills the deal for me sadly.

Arghh, Enhanced WP Contact Form plugin is out. It has a bunch of <br style="clear: both;"/> in it. Hard coded float clearing = VERY BAD.

@yoast Your contact fom plugin needs it's readme.txt updated to say it supports WordPress 2.8.4.

@wigsgiw Good pick James. @yoast knows what he's doing so I'm sure it works well.

What contact form plugin would be best for a WordPress Mu site? Something easy for noobs to use.

What's the best way to place FaceBook status updates etc. into a WordPress sidebar? Any good WordPress plugins out there for the job?

@BlakeBroad Who the heck put Yahoo! on that list? They have appalling hosting packages. I'm happy with HostGator.com.

@matthancocknz What the heck kind of webhost uses a fax machine for sending documents? Would they not let you send a PDF?

@Jghazally That's a pain. Guess I'll need to use something else instead of WP e-Commerce then :(

@nathanrice Lol. I often get "my menu doesn't look right, please make it look better". No explanation of what they don't like at all!

@rmccue @pocketsmith keep telling me how great Rails is. Seems like it takes a lot of the hassle out of building stuff from scratch.

@rmccue Are you considering doing Ruby work? Or just checking it out for interests sake?

@Jghazally Does the Members Only Module allow non-subscription sales to be made without being logged in?

@Jghazally Any idea if WP e-Commerce can sell a digital product where each customer gets a slightly different version? ie: selling API keys?

@rmccue The arctic will warm up slightly if you use a fridge there. So will your kitchen for that matter.

Question @five15design: WHY would you go to the beach when there is a tsunami warning? Ever heard of a hill?

@conorpegypt You would be surprised. There's lots of noob "developers" out there doing WP work who have no idea how to set up a localhost.

Found a good splog tool. I won't link to it in case an evil splogger is following me (don't want to give them tips). DM me for more info..

Anyone know of a good WordPress plugin for creating splogs? …. Yes this is a serious question! I need to aggregate some content (legally).

@Jghazally Oops, that doesn't give you the current URL sorry. I'd tend to grab the URL from inside the loop. I'm not sure of an easier way.

@andrew_rickmann They've done a good job butchering your site. I've removed it from my feed reader as the site is a complete mess now :(

@andrew_rickmann I figured that must have happened when I saw a "Hello World" post appear in my feed reader.

@cursa I've never seen an electric mower outside of Nth America but apparently an old neighbour of mine did own one.

Poor @dunicehockey only has three followers. If yer interested in Dunedin hockey then you should follow them (I'm not the one updating it).

Arghh … I'm trying to find @apeatling. I copied someone elses @address and got the wrong one! I need to get in touch with @apeatling ASAP.

@brandingdavid I'm considering creating a commercial plugin to upgrade some of my own themes in this way. Not sure if anyone would buy it.

@brandingdavid I've worked on a theme which used a technique like that. Was annoying for bug fixing, but does reduce page sizes a lot.

Testing out the Seesmic Twitter app. Thanks to @miriamschwab for mentioning it. It seems a lot better than Tweet Deck so far. Thumbs up :)

@rmccue Bahahaha. I've seen under the hood before and it looked like code sphagetti. But I didn't know much about OOP then.

@rmccue I was wondering if Thesis used an OOP approach. Not sure I want to buy a copy just to look under the hood though.

@rmccue How bout a theme with OOP at all? I have a project on the boil which may work better with OOP. Wanting an example to compare with.

Anyone know of a WP theme that uses a good OOP architecture? I'm looking for an example to compare to my own.

@miriamschwab Interestingly the web app is more consistent at displaying tweets than Tweet Deck which sends them all through in lumps.

@miriamschwab Trying out Seesmic web client right now. Is the desktop version much better? Web client is much better than actual Twitter.

@kaedron You should listen to the PressThis podcast from 9th September about social networking. Thanks to @yoast for creating it :)

@rmccue Yeah, I saw that and wondered about it. Other optinon is WP.com has started launching popups on users sites :p

Thank you Google! Latest Chrome update fixes the botched CSS view source setup of their last update.

Lol. Bebo is a ghost town! Logged in for 1st time in ages. Neither me or my friends have had a single profile comment in over a year!

RT @markjaquith: Tuned in to the #wcpdx (WordCamp Portland) web feed just in time to see @stephenfry say "WordPress. It rocks. For the w …

@bgardner Thank god you know how to code! I've just been trying to fix up one of your direct competitors botched themes. What a nightmare!

@Miraz My mum tried using her card from 1981 a couple of years ago. She seemed surprised it didn't still work!
