@davecoveney Oh, I see. I thought you meant the foundations behaviour could affect your business directly. Yeah, a fork would be annoying.
@davecoveney I don't think it will make any practical difference to your business.
@davecoveney @wpunitedkingdom I'm surprised that hasn't happened already.
@iv_wp A time of noon'ish was suggested by @noeltock. I suggest we leave Nydalen at noon.

@gcaat Oh, ok. I thought you meant the Night Rider bus.
@gcaat I have no idea how to go over bus baggage limits. Best ignore my previous advice
@gcaat WTF? Lol, I thought you were getting on a plane.
@mikeschinkel Yeah, that happens a lot. Some people seem to have horse blinkers on.
@gcaat I've taken lots of crap via carry-on many times before
@gcaat You can usually take a computer case as well. Just make sure it's a small one jammed with lots of related crap as well as your comp
@gcaat You only need to wear it onto the plane. You'll be fine.
@gcaat Wear a big jacket and stick all your stuff in the pockets
@scribu Dang that looks awesome. I hadn't paid much attention to it, but that looks quite awesome.
@mikeschinkel Perhaps we need to improve our explanations
@mikeschinkel I'm glad somebody gets it. That blog post seems to have confused many people who didn't understand what I was meaning.
@jesterstear Here's some popcorn. Just bug @karmatosed if you run out, she has a steady stock of GPL popcorn
@jesterstear @bgardner Well that's not very exciting! I had my popcorn all ready and everything

@williamsba lol, awesome thing to notice.
I thought http://WordPress.org had huffed and puffed itself out on the GPL front. It seems I was wrong.

Interesting post from @wprealm about WordPress rewrite rules … http://wprealm.com/blog/wordpress-rewrite-rules-human-made-core-style/
@GaryJ I think that would be the best option since it keeps your users updated rather than leaving them with no auto-update path.
@GaryJ Yep, at the bottom of my latest blog post conveniently http://wprealm.com/blog/why-you-should-stop-your-plugin-from-updating/
@sanchothefat Are you sure it wouldn't help? I assumed as soon as I used the API it would be treated as an attachment in WordPress.
@sanchothefat @simon_thepiman My plugin just copies stuff as it's uploaded. I don't know how to use the File API properly.
@Rarst @Krogsgard +1 Twitter authentication would be my preferred option.
@simon_thepiman Looks like I use 'add_attachment'. Both still use the file API though since they require them to be media attachments.
@simon_thepiman Yeah. I don't think many people do that, so won't be affecting many people (possibly just me).
@sanchothefat I haven't released that plugin. I think most CDN plugins could do it though.
@sanchothefat I use another plugin which rewrites all the URLs. I also have a CDN in front of that.
@Rarst @sanchothefat Some shared hosts don't block access if ownership permissions aren't set right http://ottopress.com/2011/tutorial-using-the-wp_filesystem/
@sanchothefat It automatically copies things from uploads to S3.
@sanchothefat Either way, I'll provide you with a patch at some point either to allow us to use it if we want, or to use it permanently.
@sanchothefat @rarst I think you should anyway. Or perhaps provide a warning that the plugin is not secure on some hosting setups.
@sanchothefat @rarst Shouldn't it use the file API to store them though?
@sanchothefat No, if the plugin uses the WordPress API it'll upload automatically via the Photocopy plugin … http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/photocopy/
@Rarst @sanchothefat It is saved in a file. Since it doesn't use the media uploader, it doesn't get processed as I'd intended on my server.
@sanchothefat @rarst The file API in WordPress always hurts my head.
@sanchothefat @rarst Yep, there's a file API in WordPress. I was trying to make it work ready for a patch yesterday, but failed.
@Rarst @sanchothefat I auto-send my CSS files to S3 via WordPress, so since the upload hook doesn't fire, my CSS broke.
@Rarst @sanchothefat Your one on Github
@Rarst @sanchothefat I had problems with wp-less on a new server too. It was because it doesn't use the WordPress media upload tools.
@GaryJ @Otto42 Are you moving them to Github? In which case, perhaps do a plugin update including an autoupdater from Github.

@rmccue @mikeschinkel Never seen it. Signing up now.
@mikeschinkel @rmccue The WordPress forums perhaps? There's an ideas section I think.
@TrondLyngbo @scottcowley @konstruktors @ronalfy @scottbasgaard I don't think WordPress is very good for large scale web stores.

@NinjaLikesCheez Ubuntu. Virtualbox is what I use.
@NinjaLikesCheez I don't have a disk drive, so that wouldn't matter I just want something I can install Photshop on in a virtual box.
@NinjaLikesCheez I don't spose you have a decent copy of XP kick around do you?
@NinjaLikesCheez What on earth are you using Windows for?
@gormer That's rather large for what I have in mind. It might take me more work getting it working than a custom build.

@no_fear_inc @Rarst How would you get the server array from an image request? It should be only whatever information the browser sends thru.
@danhgilmore @Rarst @no_fear_inc @rmccue Since no one is questioning my sanity yet, I'll roll with PHP/MySQL and an image tag
@rmccue @Rarst Thanks for the name
@Rarst Piwik is not useful for what I have in mind. I need something more custom. The image concept is a good one though.
@no_fear_inc PHP is probably okay for the programming language, but I'm thinking MySQL may not be the best approach for storage.
@no_fear_inc I don't think that relates XSRF since it's not executing JS. That is what I had in mind though on how to implement it.
I need to track hits to pages on sites I don't control. I can get a simple img tag added, but that's about it. Anyone tried this before?
@rhyswynne If you want more snow, come join us here http://2013.norway.wordcamp.org/program/ We don't have KFC though.
@rhyswynne Oslo doesn't get as much snow as I thought. I always envisaged it being covered in meter deep dumps of snow during the winter.
