Question @five15design: WHY would you go to the beach when there is a tsunami warning? Ever heard of a hill?

@conorpegypt You would be surprised. There's lots of noob "developers" out there doing WP work who have no idea how to set up a localhost.

Found a good splog tool. I won't link to it in case an evil splogger is following me (don't want to give them tips). DM me for more info..

Anyone know of a good WordPress plugin for creating splogs? …. Yes this is a serious question! I need to aggregate some content (legally).

@Jghazally Oops, that doesn't give you the current URL sorry. I'd tend to grab the URL from inside the loop. I'm not sure of an easier way.

@andrew_rickmann They've done a good job butchering your site. I've removed it from my feed reader as the site is a complete mess now

@andrew_rickmann I figured that must have happened when I saw a "Hello World" post appear in my feed reader.

@cursa I've never seen an electric mower outside of Nth America but apparently an old neighbour of mine did own one.

Poor @dunicehockey only has three followers. If yer interested in Dunedin hockey then you should follow them (I'm not the one updating it).

Arghh … I'm trying to find @apeatling. I copied someone elses @address and got the wrong one! I need to get in touch with @apeatling ASAP.

@kaedron Are you referring to http://yoast.com/? In which case, yeah, @yoast has a great looking site.

@brandingdavid I'm considering creating a commercial plugin to upgrade some of my own themes in this way. Not sure if anyone would buy it.

@brandingdavid I've worked on a theme which used a technique like that. Was annoying for bug fixing, but does reduce page sizes a lot.

Testing out the Seesmic Twitter app. Thanks to @miriamschwab for mentioning it. It seems a lot better than Tweet Deck so far. Thumbs up

@rmccue Bahahaha. I've seen under the hood before and it looked like code sphagetti. But I didn't know much about OOP then.

@rmccue I was wondering if Thesis used an OOP approach. Not sure I want to buy a copy just to look under the hood though.

@rmccue How bout a theme with OOP at all? I have a project on the boil which may work better with OOP. Wanting an example to compare with.

Anyone know of a WP theme that uses a good OOP architecture? I'm looking for an example to compare to my own.

@miriamschwab Interestingly the web app is more consistent at displaying tweets than Tweet Deck which sends them all through in lumps.

@miriamschwab Trying out Seesmic web client right now. Is the desktop version much better? Web client is much better than actual Twitter.

@kaedron You should listen to the PressThis podcast from 9th September about social networking. Thanks to @yoast for creating it

@rmccue Yeah, I saw that and wondered about it. Other optinon is WP.com has started launching popups on users sites :p

@michaeltorbert Are you looking for plugin ideas? I have a very cool project you might be interested in involving @pocketsmith

My DVD just finished burning … after 2 hrs 47 mins … WTF? Hope the drive isn't about to crap out

@michaeltorbert I just called Dell. They said not to worry about running two screens so I'll set it up now

@michaeltorbert I now have two 1920 screens, 1×15.5" on laptop and a 23". Scared integrated graphics will overheat if using both though.

@bradleypotter @michaeltorbert I bought a 1920×1200 screen for that purpose. I can now watch a video, check email, tweet etc. while browsing

@bradleypotter @michaeltorbert I have 1920×1200 and I still have my browser set to about 1100px wide

@donncha The Twitter avatars seem to be a little buggy today. Mine seems to have dissapeared too.

@nathanrice I wish browsers would start implementing the multiple background images from CSS 3 rather than fancy curved borders etc.

@markjaquith Sounds like an interesting talk. Hopefully it's live streamed for those of us not attending.

@wigsgiw Any questions you don't want to answer yourself should be in a FAQ IMO. It should also have info. about where to get extra support.

@sigurdmagnusson WordPress takes a dim view of such things so just wondering what the SilverStripe take on stuff like this is.

@sigurdmagnusson Do you consider the SilverStripe theme club to be impinging on your trademark? http://silverstripeclub.com/

@jeffr0 Icky! I wonder if it was consensual. If it was and he didn't know who she was then that's gotta REALLY mess you up in the head!

@craig_martin Add background colours behind the images otherwise your menu etc. is unreadable until the images load.

@MsConstantine Make sure they pimp your stuff in return rather than just giving away a random product and not mentioning where it came from.

@MsConstantine If you are poor and you think you may make more than $12 out of the free advertising, then it's actually going to MAKE money

@MsConstantine Depends how much the product is worth I guess. My products don't cost me anything to give away so I'm pretty generous.

I think you can download it for a fee RT @themelab: Prima CMS looks interesting, but I guess it's not publicly released yet?

@MsConstantine I've found that sending FlickR users a message asking for permission to use their photos usually works. Very few say no.

@wptavern I don't get it. WP.org doesn't seem to be anti-business IMO. I've been monetizing plugins for ages and haven't had any problems.
