@Skitzzo Yeah. I doubt they have any real evidence. Just a gut feeling I assume.

@Skitzzo I could imagine Google doing that if the subscribers kept marking your emails as spam.

@JamieAMacdonald RT @JoMangee Any #Wellington designers looking for work? @WheresMyServer are looking for you! http://us1.campaign-archive1.com/?u=b272a3ed646ac66e60b019111&id=cd36d2ed6c&e=f0b93fbca6

@humphreybc Lemme know when your fancy new @system76 machine is free. I'd like to compare it size wise with my Dell. Vostro.

@conorpegypt Are you watching the BBC feed? ie: Brundle and Coulthard commentating?

@conorpegypt Any idea if they can change tyres? Brundle and Coulthard say no, but I'd have thought they could.

@CJLaing This is the best experience I've had with Linux. Only minor trouble with trackpad on one computer.

@CJLaing I recall my flatmate having awful difficulty finding a web cam to use. They all worked fine on Windows, but not on Mac OSX.

@CJLaing I've seen people have far more trouble with Mac OSX and peripherals than I have with Windows.

Logitech headset installation. Windows: plug in, curse, swear, debug, search forums, fix, working … Ubuntu: plug in, working

@stommepoes I figured if it worked once, it'd work again. Maybe a bad assumption on my part.

@stommepoes Clean installing Ubuntu is ridiculously easy. Insert disk, follow prompts. Much simpler than Windows.

@stommepoes Do you reckon it's safe to do an automatic update? Or will you just do a clean install?

@stommepoes I assumed the software center would keep working for a couple of years even though your OS is out of date.

@tonyfernandes Good luck. Fingers crossed for you guys. No one wants to see some weird Renault/Lotus things cruising around the track.

@stommepoes What version are you on? I'm new to Ubuntu. Just wondering how long it'll be before I need to upgrade.

@konstruktors not much on the demo page http://konstruktors.com/projects/html5-notepad/

@jakehumphreyf1 Nice to see a shakeup in practice times. Will be interesting to see if the order is still that jumbled on Sunday!

@rhyswynne I supposed you could publicly slam people in the past, but getting the word out there was a LOT harder!

@rhyswynne The beauty of the internet. You can publicly slam people for attempting to screw you over

@greyhoundbus You need to respond to @rhyswynne. You guys look like complete douche bags … http://bit.ly/mytnrM

RT @Rarst: @ryanhellyer I think that qualifies as working with… they also has some stuff going with hosting WP on their Azure platform

@zamoose Either that or Microsoft are building something BIG with WordPress.

@zamoose But why would MS report security flaws a year after they finished moving them? Azure suggestion of Rarst seems more likely to me.

@slapshotprods Please don't RT that crap. They're just scammers. More info. here … http://bit.ly/ipnqTw

@IceHockeySense Please stop advertising that crap. More info. here … http://bit.ly/ipnqTw cc @CJLaing

@Rarst Azure stuff might explain it. Doing security checks to make sure their network is safe perhaps.

@Rarst But they just donated that right? I assume that didn't involve MS actively using/working on WP.

@tyssen I use an Ubuntu machine right now. Works perfectly. I don't think you would need anything Mac specific.

Anyone else wondering why Microsoft are reporting WP vulnerabilities? Planning some sort of WP project of their own? http://bit.ly/kziRZP

I was intending to upgrade all my passwords this week. It seems I'll be waiting another week after listening to @SGgrc this morning!

I need a script for sanitizing hex colour codes in PHP. Anyone able to help? I've done it before, but can't find the darn function

@clarecurranmp That would be nice. Not holding my breathe though. Too few people interested in tech. around here IMO.

@elpie I'm having a similar problem with DMs on the Seesmic web client.

@stommepoes I used to use NoScript too, before changing to Ubuntu, and recall some sites not working correctly for those exact reasons.

@stommepoes VERY good point. In that case the approach of @GaryJ is definitely better than my suggestion.

@stommepoes I wasn't aware of that. When are <noscript> tags not accurate?

@GaryJ To put it in the body tag I assume you need to do some sort of browser sniffing. <noscript> tags gets around that problem.

RT @sunitprakash: Wellington, Hollywood is old hat; Bollywood is where it's at. Change the city's name to New Welhi.

Great suggestion by @yoast to check response code when using WordPress http API … http://bit.ly/lJuO3O

@SunleyNZ I remember my brother getting that for Xmas back in the 1980's!

@humphreybc Ohhh, I might install that on my netbook. For some reason Ubuntu won't install, so I might have a crack at Jolicloud instead

Thanks to @chris_olbekson I can now see all my totally stupid mistakes. Yay!

@chris_olbekson That wasn't the problem, but you pointed me to the exact spot where the problem was display_errors wasn't set.

Some file name and line numbers for PHP errors would be REALLY useful right now.

Zend server on Ubuntu gives bland 500 errors when I mess up PHP syntax. Any ideas on how to make it serve more useful error messages?

@bradleypotter Don't try making dropline menus then. There's lots of nasty specificity stuff to deal with in those

@bradleypotter Specificity from an extra class is higher than from extra nesting, hence your code wasn't working http://bit.ly/lwrsz6

@jakehumphreyf1 Pirelli sure is doing a terrific job of keeping things exciting for us So much for all that pre-season negativity.

@bradleypotter I assume it was the down/right arrow issue you were trying to fix … http://demo.pixopoint.com/static/bradpotter/

@bradleypotter It's caused by the .current_page_item stuff around line 346 of CSS. Redeclare that with an extra li in there and it works

@CJLaing I thought I had an over-abundance of laptops, but you beat me on that front.

@CJLaing Is this for an old computer of yours? I'm guessing this is not for your Macbook Pro!?

@CJLaing Some things like PHP/MySQL (which I use all day everyday) run much nicer (and faster) on Linux than Windows.

@CJLaing I think it depends on hardware a lot too. I'm on a semi-old Dell which are known for having very good Ubuntu support.

@CJLaing I've been expecting it. My last attempt at Ubuntu around version 5 went badly. This time it's been much smoother sailing.

@CJLaing I did need to click a "install restricted drivers" button on first playing a video, but after that everything worked fine.

@CJLaing Playing videos is not a problem at all. I've tried all sorts of weird formats and they've all worked flawlessy for me so far.

@CJLaing Pretty good. It'll get annoying when I need to use Photoshop though as will need to resort to a virtual box for that.

Last week I was just a mere WordPress geek; this week I'm a WordPress AND Linux geek, which makes me twice as awesome as last week!
